The lost gardens of Otterhead House (demolished in 1952) untended since 1939. Now leased by the not-for-profit Otterhead Estate Trust Company Ltd. The house and gardens were the centre of the Victorian Otterhead Estate. Part of the Otterhead Lakes Local Nature Reserve. Otterhead is noted for various forms of the North American Rhododendron maximum now rarely grown in English gardens. These were inspected by Dr M L A Robinson, now deceased, then Chairman of the RHS Rhododendron Group in 2008. Otterhead Estate website:
